Paws Up® is a registered and licensed Canadian home based business located in Fort McMurray, Alberta. It was established in November 2006, and officially opened in January 2007 for pet parties.
The company was developed based on a need in the Fort McMurray community. Plus to make Paws Up® really unique, the in-home parties were incorporated into the business.

High quality customer service is extremely important to Paws Up®, and we want you to be 100% satisfied with every purchase you make.
About The Owner & Founder

Hi, my name is Joanne Pitts. I am the owner and founder of Paws Up®. I am also a "mom" to 4 fur babies! I have 2 cats (both females adopted from the local Fort McMurray SPCA - Bandit and Boots) and 2 dogs (both males adopted from a breeder in Devon, Alberta who is also a CKC judge - Gunner and Hunter). All my pets are spayed and neutered... I highly agree and support getting pets fixed to prevent accidental pregnancies that add to the over growing pet population.
Even though I created and maintain Paws Up®, I work full time outside my home with a large Oil sands company as a Mechanical Inspector. I graduated from high school in 1997 with Honors and went on to obtain a Mechanical Engineering Technology Diploma from the University of Cape Breton located in Nova Scotia in 2000. I have worked in various environments (Aerospace, Utilities, Mining, and Oil sands Production/Extraction). I also volunteered with Fort McMurray RCMP Victim Services for about 3 years (2003-2006).
Outside of work you can find me training my dogs (Gunner and I will be competing in Agility either later in 2008 or early 2009), camping, riding dirt bikes/quads/snowmobiles, basically almost any outdoor activity. But my favorite activity is spending time with my spouse and pets.
Paws Up® has been and still is a great experience for me. I love animals, and I love seeing people treating their pets as family members because really, they are family members.
Being a pet owner myself, I expect only the best for my 4-legged "kids" as any other pet owner does too. That's why I carefully choose only the best quality pet products out there.
Pets are my passion...
Meet The Paws Up® Team

Bandit is a "tuxdeo" cat. She was the first to join our family. She was adopted from the local SPCA here in Fort McMurray in 2002. She was about 2 years old when we adopted her and was a resident of the SPCA for about 7 months before we gave her a forever home. Bandit isn't much for playing with toys... so when she plays with a toy, that's a big deal. She'll be a big fan of trying the beds and food.

Boots is another "tuxdeo" cat and as well she was adopted from the local SPCA here in Fort McMurray in 2004. She was a baby when she came into our home. Boots loves to play with the toys... especially ones with catnip. Her favorites are usually the ones that you can't take from her (she'll take her toys, run and hide with it) or she'll make you play fetch with her.

Next up is Gunner. He is a CKC registered purebred Shetland Sheepdog and adopted from a breeder in Devon (Zesta Shetland Sheepdogs). He joined our family in 2005. He was born October 23, 2005. Gunner is a fan of tug toys and toys that squeak. He takes his favorite ones to bed... which happens to be our bed. Also he is a major chewer of toys, so he needs something to stand up to his bite.
Finally is Hunter (our latest family member). He is a CKC registered purebred Shetland Sheepdog and adopted from a breeder in Devon (Zesta Shetland Sheepdogs). He joined our family in March 2007. He was Born January 12, 2007. He loves the tuggy toys that he can play with Gunner. Hunter will be the final addition to complete our home.
